AI Receptionist

AI Receptionist Update: August 28, 2025

Improvements
Simplified Contact Information Capture
— We've streamlined how your AI Receptionist collects caller details by removing unnecessary spelling confirmations. AI Receptionist will no longer ask callers to spell or confirm the spelling of their names, and while it still requests email spelling for accuracy, it won't repeat the email back letter-by-letter for confirmation.
Background Sound Enhancements
— We've expanded the background sound options in your AI Receptionist dashboard to help create a more natural caller experience. You can now choose from a curated selection of ambient sounds that each reflect a familiar environment. Manage these settings, including volume control, within your dashboard.
Streamlined Confirmation Process
— Your AI Receptionist now requests confirmation of caller location, service, and related details only when information is unclear or ambiguous, reducing repetitive questions.
Enhanced Empathy
— When a caller describes their problem or concern, AI Receptionist will now respond in a more compassionate manner instead of repeating the issue back to them. For example:
Caller
: “I have a problem with my heater.”
AI Receptionist
: "Heater problems can be frustrating — let's get that sorted for you."
Expanded FAQ Character Limit
— We've increased the character limit for FAQs to 500 characters, so your AI Receptionist can provide even more detailed answers to questions and better address caller inquiries.
Fixes
  • Fixed a bug that allowed pre-generated FAQs to exceed the FAQ character limit.
  • Fixed an issue where Spanish-speaking callers were being transferred to non-bilingual agents. AI Receptionist now prioritizes available bilingual agents for Spanish calls first, only routing to general agents when no bilingual staff are available.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented callers from being transferred to specific team members when the AI was actively answering questions or handling tasks.
