Calendly
AI Receptionist now integrates with the #1 scheduling tool: Calendly! 🎉
  • Connect AI Receptionist with your Calendly account to access real-time availability and enable faster, more efficient scheduling by caller type.
Check out our HelpDoc for simple setup instructions.

  • Fixed an issue that prevented calls from being properly marked as spam.
Improvements
New AI Receptionist Voices
— We’ve added two new voices — Janelle and Erin — to further diversify your options for customizing how AI Receptionist connects with your callers and your brand identity.
Fixes
  • Fixed a 404 error that some multi-location accounts experienced when attempting to view call recordings or transcripts.
  • Fixed delayed disqualification statement in response to callers requesting an unlisted service.
  • Fixed an issue with AI Receptionist not completing call playbooks as expected after providing an FAQ response. Now, AI Receptionist continues the call according to the playbook settings.
Improvements
Background Sound Settings
— To reduce the perception of dead air during calls, we’ve turned on a quiet ambient sound by default. See how to manage these settings in our helpdoc.
Fixes
  • Fixed an issue with delayed updates to the Call History chart and call log when calls were marked as spam or tests.
  • Fixed an issue affecting single-playbook accounts where AI Receptionist was not retrieving playbook instructions consistently.

AI Receptionist

AI Receptionist Update: September 4, 2025

New Features
📱
Automated Follow-Up Texts for Unresponsive Calls
AI Receptionist can now automatically send follow-up text messages to callers who hang up without providing any input during their call.
This helps re-engage callers who may have ended the call by accident or due to a problem with their phone service.
Check out our HelpDoc to see how to configure this feature.
Improvements
Enhanced Conversational Flow
— We've made AI Receptionist calls feel more conversational with new, more varied transitions and acknowledgement phrases. For example, instead of using rigid phrasing such as, “Let’s proceed,” AI Receptionist may now say something like, "Got it, now just a quick question about your location.”
Fixes
  • Fixed an issue where the “Thinking sound” background sound toggle did not reflect setting changes without refreshing the page. Now, clicking the toggle updates its position immediately.
  • Fixed issues where AI Receptionist would unexpectedly respond in a language other than the caller’s spoken language.
  • Fixed an issue where AI Receptionist would unexpectedly stop responding on select calls involving unsupported languages.
  • Fixed an issue with inaccurate or unclear pronunciation when AI Receptionist confirmed a caller’s address.
  • Fixed an issue with AI Receptionist call summaries occasionally showing inaccurate appointment dates. Summaries now accurately reflect the actual scheduled date.
  • Fixed an issue where calls set to be handled by human receptionists were not being routed to live agents as expected. Calls are now routed as expected.
  • Fixed an issue with select call summaries not sending when expected.
  • Fixed discrepancies between the dashboard call history chart and call log when filtering by billing cycle in the dashboard.

AI Receptionist

AI Receptionist Update: August 28, 2025

Improvements
Simplified Contact Information Capture
— We've streamlined how your AI Receptionist collects caller details by removing unnecessary spelling confirmations. AI Receptionist will no longer ask callers to spell or confirm the spelling of their names, and while it still requests email spelling for accuracy, it won't repeat the email back letter-by-letter for confirmation.
Background Sound Enhancements
— We've expanded the background sound options in your AI Receptionist dashboard to help create a more natural caller experience. You can now choose from a curated selection of ambient sounds that each reflect a familiar environment. Manage these settings, including volume control, within your dashboard.
Streamlined Confirmation Process
— Your AI Receptionist now requests confirmation of caller location, service, and related details only when information is unclear or ambiguous, reducing repetitive questions.
Enhanced Empathy
— When a caller describes their problem or concern, AI Receptionist will now respond in a more compassionate manner instead of repeating the issue back to them. For example:
Caller
: “I have a problem with my heater.”
AI Receptionist
: "Heater problems can be frustrating — let's get that sorted for you."
Expanded FAQ Character Limit
— We've increased the character limit for FAQs to 500 characters, so your AI Receptionist can provide even more detailed answers to questions and better address caller inquiries.
Fixes
  • Fixed a bug that allowed pre-generated FAQs to exceed the FAQ character limit.
  • Fixed an issue where Spanish-speaking callers were being transferred to non-bilingual agents. AI Receptionist now prioritizes available bilingual agents for Spanish calls first, only routing to general agents when no bilingual staff are available.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented callers from being transferred to specific team members when the AI was actively answering questions or handling tasks.
Fixes
  • Fixed an issue with AI Receptionist occasionally saying technical phrases from its instructions while qualifying new leads. Now, AI Receptionist will maintain its natural call flow as expected.
Improvements
Live Agent Escalation for Unmatched Transfer Requests
— When a caller repeatedly requests to speak with a person or department not found in your Team Directory, your AI Receptionist will now escalate to one of our Virtual Receptionists. This improves the experience for callers who are looking to speak with a person in cases when AI Receptionist is unable to find a matching name in your Team Directory.
New Features
🔊
Background Noise Controls
You can now add subtle ambient sound to all calls with the flip of a toggle! This setting helps keep callers engaged, ensuring they know they’re still connected even when your AI Receptionist is processing complex requests.

Improvements
Dynamic Playbook Correction
— AI Receptionist now switches call handling playbooks mid-call when callers correct themselves or provide new context. For example, if a caller initially says they're an existing client but later clarifies they're new, AI Receptionist will automatically pivot from the Existing Client call handling playbook to the Potential New Client playbook for improved accuracy.
Fixes
  • Fixed an issue where AI Receptionist would repeat the closing statement at the end of a call. AI Receptionist now delivers the single statement configured for each respective call type.
